Anna Boulware earned her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, and her Bachelors degree in Psychology from North Carolina State University. She is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in the state of North Carolina, a National Certified Counselor (NCC), an Associate Partner Trauma Therapist (APTT), and a Level 1 Gottman couples therapist. Anna works with children, adults, and couples.

Anna has experience working with children with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, difficulty in family or social changes, and behavioral concerns. Anna is trained in the child-centered play therapy modality. Anna believes in the importance of having a collaborative relationship with parents while working towards a child's goals. Anna also has extensive background working with adults who have experienced trauma, betrayal, anxiety, depression, shame, attachment injuries, grief and loss as well as with couples who are coping with infidelity, communication problems, trust concerns, and reconnecting emotionally.

Anna uses a child-centered play therapy approach with children, and when working with adults, Anna utilizes a person-centered, attachment & strengths-based approach as well as being trauma-informed in her therapy work. Anna also applies the Gottman method and her betrayal trauma certification when working with couples or infidelity.
