With over 8 years experience as a marriage and family therapist, and as a graduate of Valdosta State's COAMFT approved Marriage and Family Therapy program, she is thrilled to be serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients in the Lake Norman and surrounding communities.
Meagan has experience working with all ages. She has been in private practice since 2013 and before moving to the Lake Norman area was the Director of School Counseling for 4 years for a priate PreK-12 school, where she was nominated as one of Fayetteville's 40 under 40 in 2013. Meagan has experience working with couples, families, adolescents, veterans and their families, and individuals with concerns such as anxiety, depression PTSD, self esteem, grief and anger.
Meagan is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She offers a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. She has training in EMDR and Yoga and uses those tools in session with clients when it may be useful. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
